My name is Brian Conway, and I am proud to call Allen, Texas the home of Ascent Public Relations. I am formerly the head of Corporate Communications & PR at TGI Fridays, and prior to that a Digital Director at Weber Shandwick.
I’ve evolved my natural penchant for storytelling into more than 15 years of PR and Communications experience, working with brands of varying sizes to bring forth their unique stories in a way that compels audiences to action.
Past brand experience includes American Airlines, U.S. Army, Unilever, The Vision Impact Institute, GlaxoSmithKline, United States Postal Service, Essilor of America, and Royal Caribbean. Most notably, my account work for Breathe Right Nasal Strips (GSK) at the 2014 Belmont Stakes helped win a Cannes Bronze Lion Award for driving mass national media and consumer attention.
Crisis expertise includes response team and framework planning, listening and analytics, and training clients to respond effectively during a crisis. Experience includes American Airlines, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, and Cathay Pacific Airlines.
I grew up in Baton Rouge before attending Loyola University New Orleans where I earned my BA in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Psychology. I met my wife in college, and she shares my unabashed passion for the Pelican State. I’m also an active member of both PRSA and the Allen Fairview Chamber of Commerce.
